Let the Mage first be familiar with ESP, Message and similar spells.
He shall then proceed to determine both his victim and the manner in which he wishes to manipulate him.
The Mage shall distract first with his hands, making gestures that draw his victim's gaze in toward himself.
He shall then distract him with his eyes, making and holding direct eye contact. Naturally this works best without any outside distractions.
The Mage will find it profitable to reflect light from his Ring upon his victim's eyes and when his eyes are drawn to it to speak a single word in a series of which makes a sentence of command.
