There is an old love spell involving putting names together in an apple.

Here is a way you might reverse it.

On one side of the apple carve the name of the person in the relationship whom you would want to steal away.  On the other carve the name of the person you would want to banish.  Cut the apple in half down thought the center so that the halves with the names are separate from each other.  Then eat the name of the object of your affections. and cast the other name out into the woods.
