Tie a piece of the stone azurite into a blue scarf and wrap this around your neck. Announce that you seek a contact in the spirit-world (mileage may vary: depending on the structure of your magical paradigm, you might seek the answer from ancestral ghosts, from a deity, from the collective unconscious, or from some particular plane or sphere) who will speak with you. Quiet your own thoughts for a few moments (some have found deep gulping breaths to aid in this), and await some form of response from the spirit. You may feel compelled to speak this, or you may have no choice in the matter. You may ask questions then, or others may ask them of you. This limited and dangerous practice is sometimes also referred to as channelling.
