Take a shell that looks like a snail shell (it has to look like a snail shell. Do not try and substitute a scallop shell or something like that). Add honey, a piece of licorice root, and a piece of paper on which you have written what you want the person to think or do. This piece of paper should be unlined, and torn on all four sides. Anoint the four corners of the paper with compelling oil, or rub it with the bit of licorice root you're using. Stuff everything into the shell, and seal the shell with beeswax. If you can, give it to the person as a charm or curio. If not, then throw it into a body of water.
