1. The Mage shall first be proficient in raising and directing energy.
  2. Then let him select the target to which he wishes to Listen.
  3. This may be a spirit or daemon, a person far away, or an event from the past or future.
  4. He shall then still himself and Listen, concentrating solely upon his target and allowing impressions to arise in his mind as they will.
  5. Let him not seek to interpret these impressions until he has received them all, and he should write them all down immediately upon completion.
