Demons don't understand the human condition.
For example, if you tell one you want money, it doesn't understand that there's a BIG problem with killing your family in a department store fire so you can sue the company. It JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND.
That's why when you conjure a demon the first time, you have to set up the Pact very carefully. Okay, listen and remember (and this is worth the price of your AOL this month alone):
- The Demon will not harm anyone or damage any physical object unless it is your specific instruction for it to do so.
- The Demon will not tempt you to violate your own morals, whatever they may be.
- The Demon will not lie to you, or attempt to mislead you by providing vague information, or by omitting important information.
Once you set this up, you should have established a fairly safe working relationship with the demon. Be aware also that the demon will likely try to weasel out of agreeing to this Pact directly. Make absolutely certain that it says specifically "YES I AGREE TO THOSE TERMS", or you could be in for a world of trouble.
